Hockey's done (Congrats Canes!), but we're not quite done with this season of local sports. The Diamond Heels face the winner of tonight's Rice - Oregon State matchup on Saturday, the first game of a best of three series for the NCAA Championship.
Andrew Miller, the 6th overall pick in the MLB draft, will head to the mound for the Heels. He earned a save last night with three pitches to preserve a win over a feisty Cal State-Fullerton team last night. Robert Woodard, masterful in a win over Clemson this week, will likely go game two. And Daniel Bard, the season's #2 guy and also a first round pick, would start game three if necessary.
