Today's basketball game is at home against the Ramblers of Loyola-Chicago.  It will be broadcast on Fox Sports Net at 5:30 pm EST.  Here are some things to look for during today's game.

1) Second-half Slow down in the offense

I fully expect the Tar Heels to take the lead early.  After lots of running, perhaps Coach Williams will want the Tar Heels to get some in-game practice of the half-court offense.  The Heels have been most successful when running the floor so far this season.  But their legs won't hold up for 40 minutes every night.  Hopefully in the second half they'll work on the half-court game with the game in hand.

2) Quentin Thomas running the point

With Raymond Felton's wrist still bothering him, a game like this is the perfect opportunity to give Quentin Thomas (and maybe Wes Miller) a chance to run the point for the Heels.  Quentin has been excitable at times early in the season.  He'll need some quality minutes in a game like this so he'll have more poise as the season progresses.  I wouldn't be surprised if Quentin finishes with more minutes than Raymond tonight.

3) O Reyshawn Terry, Where Art Thou?

We heard a lot about Reyshawn in the offseason.  Rashad McCants thought he was the most improved player coming into the 04-05 season.  We just haven't seen it.  He's running with the blue team, getting about 3 minutes a game.  Is he in Roy's doghouse?  I don't know.  It may just be a case of Reyshawn not quite having a place to fit in with our depth this year.  Hopefully he'll get some quality time today.

There you have it.  Some things to keep your eye out for during the game.  The Heels and Ramblers are 1-1 all-time, having not played since 1959.  The Tar Heels need to avenge that 26-25 1930 loss.  I'll post sometime after the game to follow up.  See you there!
