What can we hope for in 2005?

A football team to keep improving, and two basketball teams to stay in the top 5 spots they have reclaimed this season.

As Tar Heel fans, we have been given a lot to cheer about in 2004.  The men's basketball team returned to the NCAA tournament and looks to go even deeper this year.  The football team went 6-5 through and impossible schedule, with great wins over Miami and N.C. State, and were one play away from beating the eventual ACC Champions.  The women's basketball team finally looks ready to take the conference crown from Duke.

HeelsBlogGirl and I didn't make it back to the Dean E. Smith Center Thursday night.  We parked in a space where we thought we could get out quickly and miss most of the traffic, but it was not to be.  We did not leave the football game early, because I didn't want to miss the last snaps of our seniors' careers.

I was lucky enough to see the football Tar Heels play nine times in person this season, in four different venues.  I hope to get to see them even more in 2005.
