Team looked really good this afternoon - Sean May is finally becoming the post presence that he needs to be. 24 points on 9 of 13? He's consistently hitting the turnaround jumper and has Marvin and Jawad to take the pressure off.
The Tar Heels again weren't tested after the first ten minutes, so I am anxious to see how they respond when a team can hang with them for the entire game in conference play. Since Raymond Felton has been playing, the Tar Heels haven't trailed a team in the second half. But there are still some mistakes I'd like to see cleaned up. In a closer game, the missed passes could be costly. However, I was impressed with the team defense in the second half today.
Quentin continues to improve but I think he can get rid of the ball a little sooner on the fast break. Just looking at the box score, Raymond had 12 assists to just 1 turnover. I like to see that. 27 team assists to 35 total field goals. Not bad there. I do think the team took too may 3 pointers, but W & M forced some of those. William & Mary could be good down the road. I recognized some of what they did from the Tar Heels' playbook.
