The football N.C. State Wolfpack have lost another coach in Offensive Coordinator Noel Mazzone, who will be going to Ole Miss.  I know State fans blamed a lot on Mazzone this past season, but losing any three coaches can not be seen as a good sign of the program.  They'll get it turned around, but they need to learn how to keep assistants around if they want to build any kind of consistency.  Amato has lost ten assistants in his tenure.  If they are going to get to that national championship level we've been hearing about for the last five years, they need to be able to build and maintain a strong staff.  By the way, whatever happened to Mazzone's predecessor?

Do you find it as funny as I do that both of our triangle rivals have had starters missing games for questionable reasons?  What's up with Hodge's ankle?  And how's Shavlik's mononucleosis treating him?  One wonders...

We're hearing about some football transfers.  Alden Blizzard announced several weeks ago, Stephen Green and Daunte Fields are the latest, with word coming down the pipe that Fred Sparkman will not be coming back to the program.  There has to be more to Fred's story, as indications are (and I hope) that Isaiah Thomas and Adarius Bowman will return.
