Roy's hitting the road directly after the national championship game is beginning to pay off: Today, Tywon Lawson announced he will be a Heel in the fall of 2006.

Lawson averaged 16 points and 8.2 assists this season in helping Oak Hill go 34-2 and finish No. 1 nationally in USA Today?s final high-school rankings. Lawson is known as a point guard who races the ball down the floor and sets a torrid playing tempo.

So Lawson had a hand in about 32 points per game as the Oak Hill PG. I love to combine the points and assists and check out a point guard that way.

Lawson will push then-veteran Quentin Thomas, and hopefully won't have the pressure to come in and start right away. Now, let's grab his Oak Hill teammate Kevin Durant.  Love that Oak Hill pipeline!

Here's Rob Harrington's Top 50 from USA Today of the rising seniors.  Guys you ought to look out for from that list (besides Lawson) are Kevin Durant, Brandan Wright, Thaddeus Young, Spencer Hawes, and Wayne Ellington.

I don't get into recruiting too much until something's official, but it is exciting to look down the line.
